I'm in love.
This old oppo is just so much more relaxing to read. My eyes hurt less.
So I guess I'll go back to my usual schtick. Posting old muscle cars and Panteras. Here's one to get things started.
Maybe they'll get them a Nissan Titan, seeing as that's the truck they thought they were shooting up.
So this is awesome.
One of my classes has a group project for which we need to make a Rube Goldberg machine. I've been leading the group, helping spur the brainstorming, planning the meetings, etc. I was at the machine shop from 11-4 today working on it, and no one else showed up.
Best commentary I heard all night was right as that Audi commerical ended, someone in the room says, "wait, shouldn't the girl be in the car with him?"
Nom Nom Nom steel chips.
Just finished a materials science midterm worth 1/3 of my grade. Don't think it went too well (chemistry based stuff isn't my forte). Is it bad that I don't care, and am just happy it's done with?
Just watched the Art of Flight (for the third or fourth time). Highly recommend. If not for the snowboarding, then just for the beautiful settings.
EDIT: Ignore this.
I was bored at the shop tonight. So I made this nifty mini axe/bottle opener. You can be jealous. Especially because it only took about 30 minutes.
So ya know that part that I fucked up on the lathe yesterday? Well, the solution was I was just going to make a shim for it to get the length correct again. Turns out, it was gonna need shims anyways. So they had me worrying all day about it, and had me angry about messing up and needing to do more work to fix it,…
Long day. A lot of class, a lot of work, and then I fucked up a machining a part worth $100 on the TL1. Stupid mistake, it was late, I was tired, it shouldn't have happened, and I'm pissed. It's fixable, but damn I'm pissed.
Cool video all in all.
