I welded up my own x-pipe with a pre-rear axle dump and two glass packs for like, $150 in materials. I think even with my ceramic coated long-tube headers, the whole system was under $500. Not saying it'd be easy, but it doesn't have to be expensive, especially if you already have the headers. » 7/27/14 10:53pm Sunday 10:53pm

Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry Crossroads

While I'm not usually a huge fan of female country, I enjoy Kacey Musgraves' music. CMT Crossroads has paired up some great musicians, and despite never listening to Katy Perry's music (ok fine, only on occasion), I really enjoyed this crossroads. Two beautiful musicians (Kacey Musgraves is seriously smoking hot), and… » 7/21/14 10:53pm 7/21/14 10:53pm

Because, despite sounding great, the Triton V10 was a pretty useless motor in that market. Sure, it had torque for days, but it would get awful mpg. For a full size heavy duty pickup, getting the diesel just made way more sense than getting a V10 that got 8 mpg no matter what it did. » 7/20/14 1:34pm 7/20/14 1:34pm

What is the goal of the project? To have something to work on or to have something to drive? I'd suggest (based off of your name picture thing) a VW Type 3 wagon. Theres a bitchin one in my neighborhood thats slightly lowered, has a surfboard and a vintage cooler on the roof rack and a swamp cooler AC unit hanging out… » 7/20/14 1:14pm 7/20/14 1:14pm

As a current driver of an old (2000) Ford Expedition, I'm happy to see Ford is turning things around with the Expo. I've always been a fan of them (mines lasted me and my family 250k miles), and throughout its life its been a capable vehicle. From being a family hauler for long trips up to Mammoth to a Pismo Beach… » 7/17/14 10:06pm 7/17/14 10:06pm

How reckless are you with your phone? If its going to need real protection, otterbox or those lifeproof cases are your best bet. Stuff like that gasket case and the wood one wont offer all that much protection, and are really just more for looks. » 7/15/14 11:16pm 7/15/14 11:16pm

Nice! I was into mountain biking a lot in my youth and will hopefully get back into it after the summer. Problem is, most of the stuff I did in Santa Barbara was pretty hardcore downhill mountain biking that unfortunately, the mountains of SLO can't compete with. That, and I'd have to try to ride my heavy ass dual… » 7/13/14 10:06pm 7/13/14 10:06pm

Any one have opinions on 2002 Mazda Proteges?

Girlfriend bought one recently. She was looking for a nice reliable car that'd last her quite awhile, and scooped one up from a used car dealership with only 96k miles on it. I'd been helping her look for cars, and she bought this one when I wasn't in contact, so I couldn't really consult the decision, but I think… » 7/13/14 2:28pm 7/13/14 2:28pm
